This experience gives you access to a fully equipped Suzuki Jimny 4×4, paired with handcrafted multi-day routes, detailed navigation tools, and real-time assistance throughout your journey. You travel at your own pace, choosing how far to go each day, while we take care of the planning, logistics, and backup.

Rather than a fixed itinerary, this is a flexible self-guided platform. Your journey always starts and ends in Santa Cruz, and can be shaped by following our curated base loops, combining regions, or building a fully customized route with our guidance—depending on how independent you want your trip to be.

        • This is a self-guided overland journey designed for independent travelers. There is no guide accompanying you, but you will receive route planning, navigation tools, and continuous remote support from Chasing Bolivia.
        • Travel in Bolivia comes with a degree of unpredictability, which adds to the adventure. Road conditions, weather, altitude, and local circumstances may vary, especially in remote areas. Flexibility and an open-minded approach are key to enjoying the journey.
        • This experience involves long driving days, unpaved roads, and high-altitude areas. Travelers should be comfortable driving a 4×4 vehicle and adapting to changing conditions.
        • The journey always starts and ends in Santa Cruz, and requires a minimum of 7 days.
        • This experience is designed for non-Bolivian residents aged 30+, holding a valid passport and valid international driver’s license (IDP).
        • A refundable security deposit of USD 500 is required and will be pre-authorized on a credit card in the driver’s name. The deposit is released at the end of the journey, subject to vehicle inspection. In exceptional cases, a cash deposit may be accepted at our discretion.
        • This experience is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for travelers with severe mobility limitations or certain medical conditions affected by altitude.
        • Travel insurance covering medical assistance and personal belongings is strongly recommended.
